• Vocational Rehabilitation Assessment is the systematic process of collecting information and data through vocational counseling interviews, records review, and test administration, as well as labor market and community research. Assessments are utilized to determine objective and relevant conclusions regarding individuals' transferable skills, labor market access, wage earning capacity, and overall rehabilitation needs.

  • A Life Care Plan is a comprehensive document which outlines current and future medical, rehabilitative, and care needs, as well as their associated costs. Life Care Plans are often very beneficial in assessing and planning for individuals who require long-term treatment and care associated with severe and/or chronic health conditions, functional impairments, and disabling conditions.

  • LCP reviews are objective and impartial evaluations of Life Care Plans prepared by other LCP professionals.

  • Our VR counselors and Life Care Planners provide unbiased and objective opinions based on the established standards and accepted methodologies of the Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling and Life Care Planning professions. Comprehensive vocational assessment and evaluation, records review, life care plans and cost care assessments, labor market/vocational research, etc., combined with our counselors' professional education, training, and experience, form the basis of all opinions and testimony provided. Our counselors are experienced in providing expert witness services to a variety of organizations, including but not limited to: plaintiff and defense legal representatives, insurance companies, and government agencies including the Social Security Administration.

  • Career Counseling assists individuals in developing and achieving their goals through the process of vocational counseling, assessment, guidance, goal setting, and comprehensive employment/career planning services.

  • Transferable skills analysis considers skills acquired in previous work and education and evaluates how these skills might be used in alternate jobs. An individual’s age, education, and residual functional capacity are considered as well as the vocational adjustment required.

  • A labor market analysis/survey involves research of the individual’s local labor market including employment data, area wages, and job availability.

  • Medical coordination involves a consultation with the client and physicians as well as a review of medical records to better understand medical needs, treatment plans, residual functional capacity, and future medical care.

  • The counselor will coordinate return to work in a position that is consistent with the individual's residual functional capacity, as well as skills and abilities. This may include meeting with physicians, supervisors, human resources staff, as well as administering vocational testing to understand vocational alternatives specific to an individual’s capacity.

  • The counselor will coordinate with the human resources staff to develop a return-to-work plan for the client. This may include the need for assistive devices, reasonable accommodations, and/or additional training.

  • The analysis involves a counselor going to the job site to observe and identify specific requirements of a job, both physical and mental.

  • We assist with identifying the client’s skills, abilities and local labor market information to facilitate return to work in a position that is consistent with skills and work capacity.

  • The client is provided resources to prepare for their job search such as developing a resume, job search tools, identifying skills and abilities, and further education and training.
